Q & A

Who are you when you aren’t working?
I am the father of six children. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. I enjoy backpacking, hunting, hiking, fishing, and just being outdoors. I also enjoy coaching and playing all sports, especially soccer and basketball.

What is your approach to solving a complex accounting challenge?
I don’t claim to know everything about accounting. I believe that as a team, all challenges can be overcome. I utilize those around me to help brainstorm ideas to solve the challenge. I believe we have a great team here at Jack Trent & Co to help solve any accounting challenge.

How do you hope to impact clients with your work as a CPA?
Accounting and finance are not necessarily everyone’s strengths. I want to ease the burden of tax accounting, financial accounting, and finance for our clients. I want them to be able to focus on what they do best, which is running their business.

What daily task is your strength?
In a fast-paced dynamic environment, organization is key in making sure our clients needs are met. Organization is a strength of mine that I utilize, both on an individual level and a company level, to make sure we are meeting the various needs of our clients.

What are your hopes and dreams?
As a father of six children, my greatest hope is that my children will be good members of society with high values and standards. My dream is to serve an LDS mission with my wife upon retirement.
